Male vs. Female Car Preferences

January 18th, 2010 No comments

Registration of new records in 2005 and 2006 models of cars from January 2006 to the present reveal much about the American men and women's preferences for cars.

Overall, men to luxurious, high performance cars, love, preferably with a horsepower of 367 or more (for women tend to have the five best models, on average, 172 hp). On the other hand, women prefer cars that are affordable, practical and safe, and with a touch of design flair, such as the Eclipse Spyder convertible, which had occupiedhighest percentage of female registrants of any car on the market. It was followed by the Toyota RAV4 Motor Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV). Another Eclipse model, the hardtop Eclipse coupe, as the fourth digit of the registration, labeling it is classified as a car to a real women.

The survey gave an observer to comment that the 2003 movie "Fast 2 Furious 2" prominently featured the Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder, but that was it, a man described as a car out of the evilMuscular ex-convict played by Tyrese Gibson. In the film, Gibson drove the character of a purple Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder.

It was an interesting point. Registration records, please call, in fact, that men tend to buy feminine cars but women rarely purchase male-oriented, testosterone-fueled sports and luxury cars. For example, the Eclipse Spyder, which is the most popular car among women, was also the car of choice among 34.2% of male registrants.

On the other hand, when it came to the most popular male vehicles on the market, registration figures showed that women do not seem to be that all interested. For example, recorded not a single woman driver of Honda Acura NSX sports car this year, while only 1.8% of the registrant of DaimlerChrysler, Mercedes-Benz S55 AMG performance sedan were women.

Insofar as certain brands are concerned, the idea that a woman can sell the car to a man, but you can not sell the car to a manWomen also applies. The brand, which has the highest percentage of female registrants so far this year had, Pontiac, General Motors subsidiary, still sells cars to buy a people that 47% is male. Meanwhile, DaimlerChrysler's Dodge subsidiary, has the highest percentage of male registrants – and only 14.8% of individuals who have been registered in a Dodge this year, women have.
