1. Brisbane: There's so much to do in Queensland's capital. Visit the Alma Park Zoo, picnic and swim at the South Bank Parklands or view the city and coastal region of Mt Cootha lookout. 11. Airlie Beach: Airlie Beach is not only the gateway to the Whitsundays, but a tourist destination in itself, with beautiful beaches and access to so many breathtaking regions. It is a good starting point to access Shute Harbor, Bowen and Abel Point Marina. Airlie Beach Lagoon is fantastic for the family, relax and enjoy the food and sunshine.

12. The Whitsundays: Located via Shute Harbor, is the area for its fascinating islands and reefs known. Of the 74 islands there are a numberwith excellent resorts such as Hamilton, Daydream, South Molle, Lindeman and Long Island. Whitehaven Beach with its pure white sand and blue waters overwhelming. Hire a boat for a few days visiting the islands, or try some deep sea diving or fishing on the outer reefs.

13. Cairns: One of the largest cities in north Queensland, Cairns is the tropical weather, warm water, and tourist attractions.
