Early Beginnings
Enterprise Rent does not really start as a landlord at all. Jack Taylor in the possession of a car leasing company based in St. Louis, Missouri as Executive Leasing Company. He started the leasing business because he thought that people would be interested in leasing as a car, than they would with a purchase. His idea was, but he found that his customers wanted to use a car while hers was in the workshop. Taylor soon began to Executive> Car Rental in 1962. The business grew and soon Taylor wanted to expand the rental business.
Enterprise name
In 1969, Taylor expanded outside of St. Louis, but requires a unique name, as "executive" has been used in the passenger-car production. Taylor decided to leave the business after an aircraft carrier he served on during World War II and thus the name "Enterprise" was born name.
Keeping cars for locals
In the 1960s, most of the landlords were out of town, which movesAirport. Most of the travelers need a car when they arrived and then the airport was a convenient location. But John Taylor saw the market for home rental offices that offer rent to locals who need a car. With this thought, John Taylor concentrated on that market, opening locations outside the airport and in the cities without the airport. His idea was, and is expanding its business.
In 1974, store manager in Orlando, Florida came up with the idea of a drop-offand get car service for customers. This was another revolutionary for the industry. Most other car rental companies remained at the airport, where it is not necessary. This proven service to their target customers, which a local car rental company has to be popular.

Enterprise Car Rental continues to grow and still hear what the customer wants.
